Environmental Operations Manager-Leaking Underground Storage TanksBerkley, MIPOSITION SUMMARYPM Environmental, a Pinchin Company, is seeking a Operations Manager to join our team in Berkley, MI.
The Operations Manager oversees the supervision of all employees, work activities, as well as the fiscal/budgetary management for their assigned team and/or office. The Operations Manager ensures that business plans are developed and implemented in accordance with Regional and Corporate strategy. Reporting to the Vice President the primary functions & responsibilities of the Operations Manager include the following:
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
The Operations Manager is responsible for the following primary functions:
- Responsible for office financial performance, ensuring the following:
- Budget(s) are prepared on time for review by the Director/VP/EVP
- Profit and utilization targets of staff are met.
- Assigned employees perform administrative financial responsibilities on a timely basis.
- Direct supervision of all assigned staff ensuring engagement through effective performance management, training, and career development.
- Demonstrate leadership and accountability around health and safety, quality procedures, and other corporate policies and programs.
- Coordinate office resources including employee allocation, equipment control and maintenance, vacation scheduling, weekend resources etc.
- Coordinate with each Office Operations Manager or Office Lead to assist in scheduling and training field staff to optimize our resources.
- Develop annual business plan and execute strategies for developing and maintaining the assigned business unit, including maintaining: a presence in the industry, client relationships, a strong
- knowledge of Pinchin's services, staffing and workforce management, and the effective onboarding and ongoing training of staff.
- Lead and participate in Business Development strategies and initiatives in accordance with annual business plan and corporate BD programs.
- Attend seminars and be actively involved with MPA/MACS
- Collaborate with other Operations Managers on business development and management initiatives, including sharing work and resources in support of regional and company goals.
- Perform project management and/or client management duties as appropriate.
- Lead by example and in accordance with Pinchin's Core Values and desired culture.
- All other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS and Preferences:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the Environmental industry
- 5-7 years of experience leading environmental professionals preferably with Michigan's EGLE Part 201 and Part 213 regulations
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision and Distance vision.
