Job Description:We are seeking an experienced gardener to join our team upon the awarding of the contract for an exciting and high-profile project at the Georgia World Congress Center . The ideal candidate will have a proven professional track record, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage a large-scale project efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform planting, pruning, weeding, and general maintenance of landscaped areas.
- Plan and execute seasonal planting schedules and ensure proper care of diverse plant material.
- Monitor and maintain the health of plants, including pest and disease management.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, ensuring all tools are in safe working condition.
- Collaborate with the project team to meet deadlines and maintain the aesthetic quality of the site.
- Ensure adherence to environmental and safety regulations.
- Provide input on garden design, plant selection, and sustainable maintenance practices.
Qualifications:- Proven experience in large-scale gardening or landscaping.
- Knowledge of horticulture, plant care, and landscape maintenance techniques.
- Ability to operate equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems.
- Strong understanding of plant pests and treatment methods.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred Skills:- Certification in horticulture or landscaping (preferred but not required).
- LEED Online Certified (Preferred).
- Experience with sustainable and eco-friendly gardening practices.
- Familiarity with native plants and landscaping trends.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Large-scale project experience a plus.
