Corgan is actively recruiting a dynamic Sustainable Design Consultant to join the firm as part of our ECHO shared services team. Tackle these responsibilities alongside a team of creative, highly motivated individuals who are passionate about their work and ready to collaborate to achieve outstanding results. Our ideal team member is passionate and progressively seeking more responsibilities to expand their expertise. Responsibilities Assist design teams in developing design strategies and priorities to achieve desired sustainability goals including third-party certifications such as LEED, WELL, ILFI and others Work closely with studio Project Managers to support all aspects of LEED rating system projects including project registration, credit documentation, submittal, and review comments Stay up to date on project schedules and positioning within the LEED certification process, including coordination of internal and external action items required to complete LEED documentation Assist in design reviews to compile LEED compliance reports and action item lists Attend and take minutes for project meetings Create, update and improve internal process templates Assist with healthy and sustainable materials research and product vetting Support multiple projects at varying stages in the design and construction process Provide research support to Project Managers on cutting edge sustainable design and construction strategies and technologies Attend seminars, workshops, and conferences to stay up to date on innovative industry schemes Qualifications Bachelors’ degree in a field related to building science such as architecture, engineering, or construction management 3 years of relevant experience with LEED and/or other third-party certification project work including documenting credits on LEED Online LEED AP BDC or IDC Ability to read and interpret formal construction documents, inclusive Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Landscape, and Civil plan sets and specifications Knowledge of Construction Specification Institute (CSI) format Knowledge of WELL Building Standard and Living Building Challenge Proficient use of Microsoft Office An innate attention to detail A team player that gets the job done and sees no task as too small Thrives on building and managing relationships with clients as well as team members Understands the importance of efficiency and knows how to work smart, not just hard A passion for sustainability Corgan creates opportunities for personal and professional growth that bring out the best in ourselves and those around us by sharpening skills, leveraging technology, and encouraging communication.
