Job Summary The Warehouse Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring that the warehouse operations are efficient and effective. This position involves conducting detailed analyses of warehouse processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing and implementing warehouse plans. The Warehouse Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to address warehouse issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Additionally, this role involves training and mentoring junior staff. Responsibilities Inventory Management Monitor and track inventory levels Analyze inventory data to identify trends and make recommendations for optimization Coordinate with procurement team to ensure timely replenishment of inventory Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies Develop and implement inventory control processes and procedures Data Analysis Collect and organize data from various sources, including warehouse management systems and ERP systems Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and cost saving opportunities Create and maintain reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) Present data and analysis to management and make recommendations for operational improvements Identify and troubleshoot data discrepancies or issues Warehouse Operations Support Collaborate with warehouse team to ensure efficient and accurate execution of processes Monitor and report on warehouse productivity and efficiency Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and decrease costs Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new processes or systems Provide training and support to warehouse staff on new processes or systems Supply Chain Coordination Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods Monitor supplier performance and identify areas for improvement Communicate with suppliers to resolve any issues related to inventory or delivery Review and analyze supplier contracts to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness Participate in supplier selection and evaluation processes Quality Control Conduct quality checks on incoming and outgoing inventory Investigate and resolve any quality issues or discrepancies Develop and maintain quality control procedures and standards Monitor and report on product quality and make recommendations for improvements Collaborate with quality assurance team to address any quality concerns Project Management Lead and participate in warehouse-related projects, such as process improvements or system implementations Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success Monitor project progress and report on key milestones and deliverables Communicate project updates and escalate any issues to management as needed High Impact Behaviors Continuous Professional Development: Professionals should be committed to lifelong learning, seeking out opportunities for self-improvement, and staying abreast of industry trends and best practices. Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field with at least 2 years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL). In-depth understanding of inventory management principles and practices. Experience with inventory management software and systems. Ability to develop and implement inventory optimization strategies. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
