Job Summary: The Battery Technician Apprentice is for individuals with a passion for renewable energy and a desire to pursue a career in the battery storage industry. The apprentice will work closely with experienced technicians and engineers to gain practical experience in battery installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: Training and Development: Participate in training programs, workshops, and on-the-job learning experiences to develop technical skills and knowledge of battery energy storage systems. Installation and Maintenance: Assist in the installation, assembly, and wiring of battery energy storage systems at residential, commercial, and industrial sites. Troubleshooting and Repair: Gain experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting battery system issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to resolve problems. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team members. Documentation and Reporting: Assist in maintaining accurate records, documentation, and service reports related to battery installations, maintenance activities, and customer interactions. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent qualification required; technical education or vocational training in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or related field preferred. Strong interest in renewable energy technologies, battery storage systems, and sustainable practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Basic knowledge of electrical principles, circuits, and components preferred. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions and environments. Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges in a dynamic and fast-paced industry.
