Duties, Responsibilities & Other We are seeking a Professional Engineer (PE) to join our Alternative Energy team as a valuable member in Photovoltaic (PV) and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise, guidance, and support to the Design Engineering team, contributing to distributed generation (DG) and utility-scale environments. Design phase lead for all phases of solar and energy storage development & construction Review electrical designs throughout project development, design, and construction phases, conduct advanced electrical modeling, and review equipment test reports and shop drawings. Provide priorities of work, feedback on initiatives, and establish new focus areas to drive continuous improvement. Position Requirements: Must be a Professional Electrical Engineer with significant experience in PV and BESS projects Must have expertise in electrical infrastructure, SCADA, protective relaying, and controls. Strong understanding of national codes, including NEC and NESC. Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior engineering team members. Innovative thinking and a collaborative mindset Preferred experience: Familiarity with power generation, plant design, environmental compliance and multi-discipline industrial projects. Experience working on decarbonization design efforts through state-of-the-art technologies in renewable energy, carbon capture, and hydrogen power. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Master's degree preferred. 6 - 10 years of professional experience. PE Required. Experience in planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring projects involving both overhead and underground engineering systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
