The Manufacturing Engineer Manager will oversee and optimize all manufacturing engineering processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety across the company’s production facilities. This role combines strategic leadership with technical expertise, driving innovation and operational excellence while ensuring compliance with industry standards and company goals. Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and manage a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Develop and implement manufacturing processes that improve productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Identify opportunities for process automation and technology upgrades to enhance production capabilities. Collaborate with the Quality team to ensure product quality standards are consistently met or exceeded. Investigate and resolve production issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed. Manage engineering projects, including new product launches, facility upgrades, and process redesigns. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery of projects within budget. Oversee the design, selection, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and tooling. Establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and increase equipment reliability. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards in all manufacturing operations. Maintain compliance with industry regulations and certifications. Analyze production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and drive process improvements. Prepare and present reports to senior management on engineering initiatives and performance metrics. Desired Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred). 7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial role, preferably in renewable energy or a related industry. Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies. Knowledge of solar panel production or similar high-tech manufacturing is a plus. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
