Job Description – Solar Sales Manager Job Summary: Melink Solar, a leading commercial solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) company specializing in designing and building solar arrays, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to join our growing team. This role requires a strong understanding of solar energy solutions, internal & external sales processes, and a proven track record in achieving sales targets within the renewable energy industry. This position will report to the CEO of Melink Solar. Duties/Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand Melink Solar's market presence and achieve growth in the commercial solar sector. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and industry partners to drive business opportunities and foster long-term partnerships. Prepare sales proposals and supporting energy savings analysis to prospective customers in a consistent and professional manner. Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management, outlining progress, challenges, and opportunities. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective marketing strategies and campaigns that promote Melink Solar's solar energy solutions. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and innovation. Create and maintain prospective/existing client records in the company CRM. Any other job duties as assigned. Up to 30-50% travel required. Required Skills & Abilities: Clear and effective communication during interactions with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure everyone is on the same page and project objectives are met. Challenger Based Sales experience is a plus. Experience with CRM software and sales management tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot). Relevant certifications in solar energy or project management (e.g., NABCEP certification). Ability to review and interpret construction documentation and design prints for the offtake of pertinent information. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must have superior customer service skills (i.e., excellent written and verbal communication skills, high emotional intelligence, positive attitude, and a service leadership philosophy). Must possess a strong work ethic and a high level of self-accountability. Proficient with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word. Strong organizational, follow-through, interpersonal, and communication and team building skills. High degree of professionalism and strong work ethic. Ability to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university; four years related experience and or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA a plus. Experience in selling financial benefits of energy efficiency projects. Technical Sales experience within assigned markets and/or a minimum of 3 years of technical sales experience. Physical Requirements: Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
