Our client, a leading transportation company, is seeking a Fleet Support Engineer to join their team. As a Fleet Support Engineer, you will be supporting the operational uptime of their fleet. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise, collaboration skills, and troubleshooting abilities to provide real-time support for daily operations.
Job Title: Fleet Support Engineer
Location: Foster City, CA
Pay Range: $55-60/hr.
What's the Job?
- Serve as the primary point of contact for real-time escalations for fleet issues.
- Conduct in-depth root cause analysis and implement both interim and permanent corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive troubleshooting guides for technicians.
- Validate and perform component and vehicle bring-up/functional verification procedures.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvement in vehicle performance and reliability.
- Ability to review large data sets to identify systematic issues and inform preventative actions.
- Availability for night and weekend shifts as needed, with advanced notice provided.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the U.S. to support various operational locations.
What's Needed?
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicles.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering.
- Ability to safely troubleshoot low voltage and high voltage systems.
- Proficiency with interpreting electrical schematics, harness diagrams, and state machine diagrams.
- Experience with debugging Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS) issues.
- Experience with fundamental network troubleshooting.
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively in real-time service operation settings.
- Embraces a holistic problem-solving approach to identifying issues with high-level vehicle functions and drive specific resolution into single components.
- Self-starter; ability to build relationships across the company.
