Made in the USA and Sweeden, 75 years of experience!Our company prides itself on not having layoffs, enhancing our company benefits, continuing to grow as a company and having opportunities for advancement.Cibes|Symmetry is currently recruiting for a Finisher/Sprayer in our Interior Elevator CAB department, located in our Roanoke, IL Facility.This is a 1st shift position: 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays for a few hours depending on our workload.Job TaskThe incumbent applies paint, clear coat, stain, etc... to components as specified by written instructions, schedules and drawings; inspects completed work for conformance to specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities- Reads and interprets specifications or work orders to determine unit or piece(s) to be painted
- Rolls, lifts, or maneuvers pieces onto and off of saw horses
- Ensures pieces are prepared for coating
- Sets and adjusts spray nozzle and directs spray onto desired surfaces
- Visually inspects parts according to quality specifications
- Cleans and maintains spray booth
- Changing paint booth filters as required
- Troubleshoots and reworks pieces that fail tests
- Performs all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures
- Maintains a clean, safe work area free of foreign materials
- Participates in training and cross-training efforts as needed
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS- Paint application techniques and equipment experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read written procedures and understand work orders
- Demonstrated knowledge of adhesion and proper preparation of substrate
- Minimum one year of experience
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred, but not required.
QUALIFICATIONS- Demonstrated high level of quality in workmanship.
- Basic math, reading, and reasoning skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, written and oral
- Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to multi-task and respond to manufacturing needs accordingly
- High attention to detail; ability to visually inspect parts
- Ability to work independently or with a team
