Foth is currently looking for a Lead Environmental Engineer with expertise in solid waste to join our innovative team. This position will be based in one of the following locations: Green Bay, WI; Milwaukee, WI; Minneapolis, MN; Cedar Rapids, IA ; or can be remote from a home office located in or near Wisconsin, Minnesota, or Iowa. If you're passionate about making a difference, eager for career growth, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you Primary Responsibilities: Technical Leadership: Serve as the primary technical resource for solid waste projects, providing expertise in solid waste facilities and planning. Project Oversight: Lead the development and quality control review of plans and specifications, serving as the engineer of record for municipal solid waste, ash monofill, and demolition landfill waste facility construction projects. Hands-On Engineering: Provide hands-on technical engineering support for solid waste projects, including issue identification and resolution, project team leadership, and ensuring projects are delivered within scope, schedule, and budget. Communication and Collaboration: Lead communications to ensure project completion with high quality and on-time delivery. Act as the primary contact for clients regarding solid waste projects, participate in proposals and presentations, attend client meetings, and advocate for client interests in public meetings. Client Engagement: Proactively identify client needs and initiate activities to meet those needs. Demonstrate effective communication skills with clients, regulators, and stakeholders, focusing on technical issues. Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a working knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements and standards for waste facilities, fostering positive relationships with regulators on permitting and compliance issues. Team Development: Coach junior engineers to develop their technical skills and contribute to their professional growth. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in solid waste projects. Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or ability to obtain.
