The Position Arevon is recruiting for the position of Communications and Events Analyst, an outstanding opportunity for individuals seeking an exciting, high-growth work environment in one of the most important industries of the 21st century. The Communications and Events Analyst will report to the Communications and Event Manager. Responsibilities Assist in the planning and execution of external events (industry conferences, tradeshows, customer events, etc.), community events (groundbreakings, ribbon-cuttings, etc.), and internal events (Annual Meeting, Holiday Party, etc.). Help develop event concepts and themes in collaboration with Arevon colleagues, with a goal of creating opportunities to elevate Arevon’s brand presence, strengthening relationships with project stakeholders, and enhancing and exhibiting Arevon’s culture as well as educating employees. Research and recommend vendors, venues, catering, entertainment, and other event services; coordinate logistics for housing, meeting rooms, and booth space. Maintain accurate records and documentation for each event, including contracts and budgets. Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members to ensure event details are executed smoothly. Ensure event décor and creative elements align with Arevon’s brand and messaging. Perform general administrative tasks related to event preparation, including maintaining event timelines, initiating events-oriented vendor qualification requests, and completing payment process requests. Support on-site activities at select events. Participate in post-event reviews, assisting with documenting successes and suggesting improvements for future events. Capture photos and video of events to use for social media posts and other marketing purposes. Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders. Relationship management is a key function of this job. Facilitate effective communication within the organization by developing internal newsletters, emails, and other resources. Support Arevon’s conference program (liaising with PR firm and employees, tracking sponsorships and speaking engagements, filling tables). Quarterly updates to the membership database. Additional duties as required and general support of broader Communications initiatives. Qualifications and Characteristics Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent education, training and experience in event management, marketing, communications, business or a related field (preferred). 1-2 years of experience in event coordination or a related role is a plus. Familiarity with event planning best practices is desirable. Basic understand of meeting and trade show industry terminology, knowledge of renewable energy sector is a plus. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, simultaneously. Good verbal and written communication skills in English are required, including writing, proofreading, grammar, syntax, and use of AP Style. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams. An interest in graphic design is a bonus. Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a desire for continuous improvement. Ability to coordinate with team members in different locations. Ability to travel (domestically) up to 20% of the time. Flexibility to occasionally work non-traditional hours such as early mornings, evenings, and weekends, as needed for events. J-18808-Ljbffr
