Job Summary Working under a Master Electrician, Journeyman electricians will assist in all facets of installation of power generation equipment and products, including pulling wire, bending conduit, installing and wiring electrical devices, reading wire diagrams, tracing, wiring, and troubleshooting problems, as well as installing automatic transfer switches and standby generators. Responsibilities Pull wire, bend conduit, install and wire up electrical devices. Trace wiring and troubleshoot problems. Assist in load testing generator packages. Assist in other phases of preparation and setting of power generation equipment and products such as trenching, piping, mechanical components, and civil assembly for setting power generation packages. Read wiring diagrams. Have a clear understanding of AC/DC wiring as it pertains to duties. Perform proper installation of all electrical equipment required to complete fabrication of projects (i.e., brackets, conduit, wiring, end devices, panels, etc.). Be proficient with measuring and electrical testing equipment. Promote good welfare among the company and its divisions. Perform other duties as assigned. Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Qualifications Must have previous electrical experience; some on-the-job training is available. High School Diploma or GED. AC and DC electrical experience is a plus. Working Conditions: Typical hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 7 AM – 5 PM. Weekend hours as necessary, with some adjustments to starting and quitting time as workload requires. Physical demands include: walking, standing, sitting at a desk, typing on a keyboard, viewing and reading computer monitor, and using a telephone. Lift up to 50 lbs. Use hands and arms to reach, touch, and handle objects. Frequent talking, hearing, and reading are also required to perform regular job functions.
