Role Overview: They are are seeking a proactive and strategic Development Engineer with experience in the German energy industry. This role supports the Head of Development, driving grid connection processes and collaborating closely with Transmission System Operators (TSOs) and Distribution System Operators (DSOs). The position plays a critical role in our small, dynamic team, facilitating the development of ‘construction-ready’ renewable energy and storage projects. Key Responsibilities: Identify and secure potential grid connection points for diverse energy projects, including battery storage, photovoltaic, and wind. Screen projects to align with technological requirements and prepare comprehensive development cases. Draft budgets, submit formal connection applications, and manage the grid access process with TSOs/DSOs. Serve as the primary contact, nurturing relationships with key stakeholders such as grid consultants and Independent Connection Providers (ICPs). Negotiate connection agreements and ensure proper documentation of grid access contracts. Support project development with site visits and participate in cross-functional operational activities. Stay informed on regulatory and technological updates relevant to grid access and the energy market.
