We are looking for a Business Development and Marketing Coordinator with experience working effectively across teams to solve problems, create efficiencies, and communicate effectively. They will independently carry out tasks with high quality and exceptional service, using sound judgment and leveraging the guidance of Senior Business Development and Marketing Managers, Project Directors, and EI's Business Development and Marketing Director as needed. The position plays a key production role across a busy and diverse set of internal projects and initiatives, especially those tied to Business Development and Marketing, and will report to the Marketing Team Lead. Success in this position includes the ability to manage and drive processes forward, work collaboratively with people across the company, adapt effectively to different work styles and cultural contexts, respond quickly to varied demands and tight deadlines, and complete high-quality work products on time with an eye to detail. Responsibilities Strategic Coordination : Lead the coordination of Business Development and Marketing activities, ensuring high-quality implementation of administrative tasks and maintaining alignment with organizational goals. System and Tracker Development : Design, maintain, and iterate on internal initiative trackers, content calendars, workplans, and deliverable schedules to enhance team efficiency and accountability. Knowledge and Data Management : Establish and manage structured systems for research, knowledge sharing, and data retention to support proposals, marketing content, and other deliverables. File and Process Oversight : Maintain project documentation and file management systems to ensure compliance, accessibility, and clarity. Resource Development : Innovate and manage user-friendly tools and resources, such as CRM platforms, qualifications databases, project storytelling, and website updates, to drive internal and external engagement. Proposal Coordination : Take ownership of proposal-related tasks, including market research, capture plans, team coordination, and recruitment efforts, ensuring deadlines are met with minimal supervision. Content Quality Assurance : Edit, write, and review marketing materials, adhering to EI's quality standards and reflecting its core sectors, services, and project accomplishments. Meeting Facilitation : Proactively organize internal and external meetings, including scheduling, material preparation, note-taking, and follow-up action tracking. Cross-Team Communication : Champion effective communication across teams, fostering collaboration, resolving bottlenecks, and maintaining smooth operational workflows. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 1 years relevant experience; a Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects independently, driving processes proactively from initiation to completion with minimal supervision. Demonstrated experience in designing and managing systems to track deliverables, workflows, and outcomes effectively. Experience providing technical and administrative support to diverse stakeholders, including team members, consultants, and external clients, in high-pressure and fast-paced environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience in international development and/or familiarity with USAID-funded programs and related processes. Proven ability to develop technical content for communications, marketing, or proposal-related initiatives as part of a collaborative team. Hands-on experience with content management platforms, including website and intranet management, to support internal and external communications. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Exceptional customer service skills, a problem-solving approach and adaptability - an eagerness to assist others, and flexibility in taking on the work at hand and adjusting priorities as needed. Highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong facilitation and copy-editing skills and attention to detail. A resourceful problem-solver who can anticipate challenges and address them before they arise. Strong research skills including ability to efficiently gather, compile and synthesize relevant information. Willingness to be available outside of regular office hours for international calls, proposals, and other time-sensitive tasks. Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to manage complex workflows, juggle competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines with high-quality outcomes. Additional Requirements Legally authorized to work in the United States with no restrictions. Criminal background check required. Base Station The position will be based in Washington, DC. Environmental Incentives is implementing a hybrid work model in which employees will be required to work in the office approximately two days per week. Compensation and Benefits The starting salary range for this position is $60,000-68,000 per year. This role offers opportunities for rapid growth, including potential promotion within one year based on performance.
