We have an exciting new opportunity for a Project Geologist – Resources to join our talented and dynamic geology team at our world-class KCGM Operations, in Kalgoorlie. This opportunity is offered as residential in the Goldfields, working a family-friendly 5:2 4:3 roster – 9 hours per day , reporting to the Senior Geologist. This position offers the opportunity for exposure to a wide variety of challenging and rewarding technical disciplines. The primary responsibilities of the role will include: Continuously providing geological excellence through interpretation, modelling, and estimation. Working collaboratively to identify growth opportunities with a world-class deposit. Contributing to all mine geology and technical functions. Requirements: A degree in Geology, preferably with Honours, from a recognised tertiary institution. Minimum 5 years geological experience in the mining industry, the majority of which is preferably in gold. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in logging, sampling, Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC), resource development and reconciliation. Demonstrate ability to maintain or exceed best industry practice in all geological and environmental tasks. Experience in the use of Geological Software (Datamine, Leapfrog, Vulcan, Supervisor or similar). Preferred: Operations experience (open pit and/or underground) in a hard rock environment. Exploration or Resource Development experience in gold. Knowledge of geological and mineralisation modelling in Leapfrog.
