If you are looking to have a meaningful career with purpose, it's time to consider joining the Terrasmart team as a Manufacturing Lead Operator - 1st Shift Position Summary The Manufacturing Lead Operator - 1st Shift is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing heavy machinery in industrial production. They ensure quality standards are met by conducting regular inspections and quality checks during the assembly and fabrication process. The Manufacturing Lead Operator oversees daily operations within a manufacturing environment, ensuring production schedules are met with efficiency and adherence to quality standards. Schedule 1st Shift, Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm Primary Responsibilities (Essential Duties) Operates and trains workers in operation of equipment, handling of materials, and quality of parts. Reads drawings and blueprints to ensure that products are assembled and produced correctly. Measures and quality checks finished products to ensure quality specifications have been met. Enters product information into the ERP computer data entry system. Operates forklifts to move materials within facility. Performs tasks such as cleaning machinery or equipment to ensure continued operation of the plant. Assists with machine setups or repairs. Follows safety regulations and procedures to minimize risk of injury to self and others. Inspects raw materials to ensure they meet quality standards before they are used in production. Collaborates with supervisors and other leads to coordinate activities between departments. Serves as a point of contact for production personnel. Other duties as needed. Supervisory Responsibilities Assists the shift supervisor by executing lead responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training workers; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding workers; facilitating disciplinary plans, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Sponsorship is not available for this opportunity Education / Experience (an equivalent combination of education and/or experience) High School Degree or Equivalent. 3 Years of Manufacturing Experience (heavy machinery preferred). 2 years of Forklift experience. 1 years of Manufacturing Lead Experience. 1 years of basic data entry into an ERP computer data entry system. Technical Requirements Ability to utilize a measuring tape to the 1/32" mark. Ability to read blueprint and technical drawings, manuals and instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and managers. Physical Requirements Able to squat, bend and lift up to 65 lbs. without assistance. Able to operate equipment, including forklifts, safely and able to understand and follow safety protocols. Able to stand for up to 10 hours per day and to walk for extended periods of time.
