The Tree Planter Role is essential for supporting environmental initiatives within the Borough of Stockton on Tees. Volunteers will contribute to enhancing green spaces, improving biodiversity, and creating a healthier, more sustainable environment for the community. As a Tree Planter, you will play a vital role in enhancing the natural environment across various sites in Stockton-on-Tees. Your responsibilities will include planting and maintaining trees, preparing sites, and working collaboratively with other volunteers to improve local green spaces. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the community and local biodiversity while gaining hands-on experience in environmental conservation. Your responsibilities include: Assist with tree planting at designated sites across Stockton on Tees. Follow planting guidelines to ensure trees are positioned correctly for long-term growth and survival. Work collaboratively with other volunteers and supervisors. Ensure tools and equipment are used safely and returned after use. No prior experience is needed, but an interest in conservation or the environment is beneficial. Candidates should have basic physical fitness to carry out planting tasks, including bending and digging. The ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team is essential. A positive attitude and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions are important.
