About the Team: The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team is responsible for risk management and compliance to support frontline operations, manufacturing processes and test and launch campaigns. We develop programs, processes, controls, and other solutions aimed at empowering all Relativity employees to drive our safety culture and prevent injuries in the workplace, while maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. About the Role: The Sr EHS Manager, Factory Operations position will lead the department’s effort alongside our world class manufacturing team in Long Beach, CA. We are looking for a dedicated self-starter who thrives in ambiguity in tackling audacious goals. This person will have a “boots on the ground” mindset, proven experience developing a scalable, manufacturing EHS program for a site or a company, and strong ownership over day-to-day EHS operations, initiatives, and programs. The Sr EHS Manager, Factory Operations will be partnering with the Long Beach manufacturing, infrastructure, factory test, facilities, and contractor stakeholders to develop and build a comprehensive compliance strategy and further develop our world class safety culture. They will oversee 6 EHS personnel at our Wormhole and Portal facilities in Long Beach. Additionally, this person will be responsible for the following: Developing and executing an EHS strategy for our Long Beach sites which is focused on delivering policies, programs, and guidance based on corporate objectives to match manufacturing factory hazards, while fostering key partnerships with factory personnel to support EHS programs and initiatives. Developing and executing compliance requirements by partnering with Relativity environmental engineering teams, primarily related to environmental inspections, air emissions, hazardous waste, and industrial wastewater discharges. Developing processes with engineers to design safe systems into novel additive manufacturing systems and processes. Facilitating EHS training, including fall protection, high voltage electricity, confined space, LOTO, cranes & rigging, among others. Developing and maintaining the Long Beach industrial hygiene program. Maintaining compliance to applicable local, state, and federal EHS regulations such as Cal/OSHA and SCAQMD. About You: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental sciences, occupational health and safety, or another related technical discipline. 10 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or a related industry, with proven proficiency in health and safety including but not limited to: employee engagement / behavioral safety, risk assessments, industrial hygiene, hearing conservation, confined spaces, hot work, hazardous waste, emergency management, fall prevention / protection, pressure safety systems, critical lift operations, chemical management. 3 years of experience as a people manager. Current CSP or CIH credential holder. Nice to haves but not required: Master’s degree in public health, engineering, occupational health and safety, or other related degree program. Proficient project manager with the ability to juggle and execute multiple projects simultaneously. ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 knowledge and proficiency.
