The primary purpose of this position is to supervise and facilitate the construction phase of projects by directly managing sub-contractors and providing oversight and project support for production, safety, and quality. Primarily focuses on General Contracting projects and serves as the on-site project manager, schedule and sequence turf installations. Individual must be comfortable interacting and communicating with customers and contractors, be able to articulate the views of FieldTurf and listen to the client. Serves as regional customer service liaison; supports Sales team by attending pre-bid meetings and presentations as necessary. Responsibilities Performs pre-bid activities, including procuring necessary plans and specifications, scope review, request for quotes from subcontractors, and conducting site surveys. Attends pre-bid meetings and provides technical sales support. Assists with bid forms and qualifies sub trade proposals. Attends pre-construction and progress meetings. Verifies site conditions throughout the project and documents critical site details. Ensures construction execution complies with the plans and specifications. Ensures that all needed materials and equipment for the project are delivered on time. Ensures proper staging area for equipment and materials. Verifies that necessary critical documents, local rules, and permits are complete, delivered, and/or posted. Completes weekly forecast and production reports to Project Manager and VP of Design and Construction. Monitors and communicates changes in the scope of a project and opportunities for additional revenue or cost savings to the RVP Sales and VP of Design and Construction. Communicates work schedule to the Owner, GC, sub-contractors, Sales, and the Project Manager. Schedules and sequences all installation mobilizations and activities. Directly supervises sub-contractors and vendors on the project site. Enforces company safety regulations, standard operating procedures, and quality standards. Works with customers, installation crews, sub-contractors, and Sales to resolve operational and technical issues and challenges. Reviews and approves sub-contractor invoices, assists Project Manager in billing subcontractor invoices and change orders. Ensures proper project closeout; Certificate of Completion/Substantial Completion, maintenance hand-off, and checklist completed. Provides Subject Matter Expert support to Sales/Customer in order to ensure award of contract. Responsible for profit and loss of all General Contracting Projects and meets regional goals. Performs onsite base inspections and coordinates material deliveries with installation sub-contractors. Performs Field Evaluations as necessary to assist Customer Service. Other Duties and Responsibilities Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources. Assist in the accomplishment of Company goals. Help other employees to accomplish Company goals. Perform other duties as may be assigned by department supervisor. Participate in the Disaster Recovery plan as required. Maintain multi-tasking skills to prioritize ever-changing needs, demands, and crisis management. Provide real-time construction status daily reports to Project Manager, Sales Managers, Regional Vice Presidents, and VP of Design and Construction. Attend sales meetings with Regional Sales Managers to outline minimum civil details and design recommendations. Visit regional aggregate quarries to verify material compliance. Visit with regional civil partners and subcontractors to outline minimum civil details and design recommendations. Pre-Punch construction sites for expedited closeout. Provide Owner Training, if applicable. Attend and participate in Weekly Regional Conference call (WIP Calls). Perform minor on-site repairs, if applicable, and after training. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises sub-contractors on job site. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
