Compensation: DOE (Dependent on Experience) Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain and enhance the electrical safety program, including arc flash protection. Direct and refine power distribution facilities to optimize performance. Identification and resolution of electrical issues within the plant. Develop and maintain systems to monitor plant power consumption. Manage and prioritize engineering and preventative maintenance projects. Provide electrical support for the development of new manufacturing cells and lines. Lead continuous improvement efforts related to electrical efficiency. Perform intricate data analysis and compile detailed reports. Justify project costs and present prospective projects to upper management for approval. Implement energy conservation projects to reduce overheads and improve efficiency. Simultaneously manage multiple projects with various scopes and timelines. Facilitate communication with internal and external stakeholders to maintain project schedules. Utilize 2D CAD software for designing electrical panels and distribution layouts. Champion the plant’s future sustainability and environmental initiatives. Undertake additional engineering tasks as required. Minimum Position Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field. A minimum of two years’ experience in electrical project design engineering within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs. Proven project management skills, including effective management of timelines and budgets. Experience with electrical design for control panels and power distribution systems. Familiarity with arc flash and related safety standards. Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Ability to manage projects independently and work effectively on the manufacturing floor. Strong communication skills for interaction with team members and front-line workers. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in automotive manufacturing settings. Experience with capital equipment projects. Exposure to Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies. Advanced data analysis skills. Skills: Strong leadership capabilities for leading project teams. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
