R2 Contractors, Inc. is looking for a dedicated Renewable Energy Business Developer to join our team. The Business Developer is responsible for leading the development strategies for targeting clients, building organizational partnerships, and working with client executives from project conceptualization through to construction and implementation. This role is an out-of-the-box thinker and doer with proven success in the renewable energy industry. This is a full-time position that requires travel, from project to project as needed. Potential to be based in office in between projects (either Redmond Oregon or Queen Creek Arizona), however, majority of the position will be on the road. The list of primary responsibilities includes, but is not limited to the following: Identifying new business opportunities, developing and executing growth strategies, and building strong partnerships to achieve our revenue and market share objectives. Collaborate with the executive team to develop and refine the company's business development strategies and objectives. Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities, market gaps, and emerging trends. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through targeted prospecting, lead generation, and networking activities (Including travel and client business meetings). Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients by leveraging various channels such as industry events, referrals, online platforms, and partnerships. Conduct thorough market assessments and evaluate potential clients for strategic fit and alignment with company goals. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including prospective clients and partners. Act as a trusted advisor and build rapport to understand their business needs, challenges, and objectives. Effectively communicate the value propositions of our products or services and leverage these relationships to secure new business deals and partnerships. Lead the development of compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches tailored to meet client needs. Collaborate with multiple divisions to ensure proposals align with business capabilities and pricing strategies. Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service agreements to secure profitable and long-term partnerships. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and achievement of revenue targets. Provide market insights, competitive analysis, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies and approaches. Collaborate on account planning and participate in key sales meetings, presentations, and negotiations to drive successful deal closures. Establish key performance indicators and metrics to monitor business development efforts. Regularly analyze and report on sales pipeline, revenue forecasts, market trends, and competitor activities. Provide reports to the executive team, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommended actions for continuous improvement. Requirements: Business development: 5 years (Required). Willingness to travel up to 100% (Required). Ideal candidate will possess 5 years of experience in the renewable energy industry. Proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles, with a track record of driving revenue growth and market expansion. Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills. The ability to identify and evaluate market opportunities. Excellent communication, negotiation, people, and presentation skills.
