Senior Manager- Finance Master Data Management Buckingham Search - Naperville, IL One of our favorite international manufacturing clients which is 2 in their space is hiring a Senior Manager of Finance Master Data Management Reporting directly to the President of the organization, this person is responsible for working across Finance and Accounting (“F&A”) to improve the decision readiness of Finance and Accounting data. This includes quality and consistency of financial reporting structures and the accuracy of planning activities through the integration of financial and non-financial data in scenario planning. They offer some awesome perks, hybrid work, great benefits, and more. Role Responsibilities: Own the F&A master data management strategy for financial and non-financial data. Support emerging enterprise-wide data governance strategy. Align F&A’s data governance strategy with enterprise-wide governance strategy. Coordinate with IT on digital investments that strengthen F&A’s data capabilities. Ensure data quality, consistency, and transparency across F&A. Ensure F&A is well-informed about data resources and analytics solutions. Keep apprised of advancements and opportunities to use new technologies. Create, track and report process performance indicators including EX. Partner with IT to develop and execute business continuity plans. Candidate Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred. Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance or accounting with a focus on data management, data governance, or analytics. Proven track record in managing finance data within a large, complex organization, ideally in the manufacturing or automotive industry. Experience in leading cross-functional teams and projects. Familiarity with IT systems and digital tools that support finance and data management. Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and implement data management strategies that align with corporate objectives. Deep understanding of master data management, data governance principles, and financial data structures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with both finance and IT departments. Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Proficient in the use of ERP systems, Business Intelligence tools, and data visualization software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Power BI, Tableau). Ability to stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in data management and finance. Strong project management skills, with experience in creating and tracking performance indicators. Other Requirements: Commitment to ensuring data quality and consistency across finance and accounting functions. Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders, including senior management and external partners. Demonstrated capability to support and enhance enterprise-wide data governance strategies. Certifications: Certification in data management (e.g., CDMP, CIMP) or a related field is a plus.
