Your missions: Job Summary and Purpose: The primary responsibility of the Facilities/Utilities Engineer is to oversee and optimize facilities operations and utility systems, including HVAC, water systems, compressed air, electrical, and environmental control systems, which are crucial to our multi-building manufacturing campus. This role is integral to ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and compliance of our utilities, building systems, and equipment. Additionally, they will combine engineering, business acumen, project management knowledge, communications, and passion for continuous improvement to support all current and future engineering projects. Lastly, this position will act as the site energy champion working to improve consumption and conservation efforts across all systems. Responsibilities and Key Duties: Oversee the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, boilers, air compressors, pure steam, and electrical equipment. Support design and installation of facility utility systems and associated equipment. Ensure continuous operation of critical utilities such as purified water, steam, and compressed air systems. Ensure all equipment and systems comply with local, national, and industry regulations, including cGMP, OSHA, and EPA standards. Develop and monitor energy control and conservation improvements. Support Engineering Department with facility design for construction and updates for operational and energy efficiencies. Conduct routine, ongoing assessments of the facility systems operations. Ensure energy efficient operations of all facility systems. Assist, as necessary, with scheduling of preventive maintenance, contracted maintenance, and general maintenance with minimum disruption of building services. Ensure compliance with all safety procedures as well as utilization of protective equipment. Maintain ongoing communication with vendors. Assist in updating and/or maintaining as-built drawings. Technical / Functional Competencies: Proficiency in reliability engineering principles, methodologies, and tools such as TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), root cause analysis (RCA), and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM). Strong knowledge of cGMP regulations, environmental health & safety practices, and building management systems. Experience with HVAC, cleanroom environments, steam systems, water purification, and other pharmaceutical utility systems. Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Language: English native or fluent. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field. Work Experience: 5 years of experience in engineering, maintenance or operational excellence in an industrial environment or related experience. Other Qualifications: Experience supporting and constructing large facilities, preferably in advanced manufacturing environments. Demonstrated experience with energy saving programs. The ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex project documents, including AutoCAD, Visio, and PDF documents. Experience working with clean room environments. Possession of HVAC, electrical, or mechanical licensure. Physical Requirements: While performing the responsibilities of the Reliability Engineer, the employee is required to walk, climb, talk, and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle, feel and manipulate keys on a keyboard. Often, the employee will be required to stand and walk to different areas of the site. The employee will need to be able to climb ladders and stairs frequently. This job will require close vision to be able to see a monitor, watch employees engaged in processes, and observe manufacturing operations. Some lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required. Working Conditions: Individual will be required to go into clean lab and manufacturing environments on occasions in which clothing changes and protective clothing and gear is required. This may include having to shower-in/shower-out. Both indoor and outdoor work is required with exposure to all potential weather conditions. Travel Required: Less than 10% travel for training or new equipment FAT/validation. International travel is a possibility.
