As our global footprint continues to spread across the world, we are looking for a Marketing Lead in Energy and Industrial Automation (Renewables and/or Automotive). In this role you will be responsible for translating the organization’s business objectives, market opportunities and portfolio of offerings into a well-defined, cohesive go-to-market strategy for an industry vertical. The ideal profile aligns products, services and solutions to market segments, thereby driving clarity and efficiency in go-to-market execution. The Marketing Lead for our UL Energy and Industrial Automation segment will leverage knowledge of the industry, buyer and influencer personas and assigned portfolio in order to maximize the global commercialization efforts. This individual will collaborate extensively with the relevant sub-unit leader(s) and business team to provide commercial insights and data that supports new and existing portfolio decisions. He/ she will develop the messaging and strategy that empowers the marketing organization to develop and execute a plan that meets the growth targets, business objectives, while working with the sales organizations on enablement, value proposition definition and marketing strategies to support the business in meeting growth and revenue goals. Cultivates industry knowledge and leads definition of the market opportunity for an industry. Categorizes which solution(s) should be promoted (product/service, bundle, etc.) and the corresponding competitive positioning, messaging, routes to market, target buyers, buying cycle and more. Monitors industry trends (regulations, macroeconomic conditions, trends, business challenges) and acts as a subject matter expert. Leads efforts to complete competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth and impending risks. Interlocks with strategic communication, Marketing Operations and Regional Marketing to lead development of buyer-centric campaigns/programs that build awareness and demand for industry solutions. Helps write or curate content in industry vernacular (playbooks, case studies, blog posts and sales training materials) for industry inbound and outbound marketing activities. Leads efforts to monitor and report on industry marketing successes and return on investment (ROI) against defined goals/metrics. Understands the demand type and primary influencer audiences within an industry and maps out the customer buying process; isolates nuances and patterns. Contributes to, or helps lead creation and ongoing maintenance of, industry-specific buyer personas and identifies target accounts within the industry. Leads strong collaboration with a formal sales enablement function and solution specialists, i.e., cyber, Global Market Access (GMA), sustainability and functional safety, on a well-defined sales enablement plan. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE PREFERRED. Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing, communication or related field, plus generally more than 6 years of experience. MINIMUM SKILLS PREFERRED.
