Duties/Responsibilities: Maintains Company’s compliance program through knowledge of the quality documentation process, document control practices, and by managing documents, records, forms and work-instructions. Promotes quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization. Explains business process compliance to others throughout the Company. Sets up and monitors new product qualification process along with providing support for activities needed to bring new products to market. Establishes key measures for analysis of existing quality programs and processes. Develops systems for tracking on-going activities to ensure that targets are achieved. Ensures compliance with national and international standards and legislation. Conducts hazard analyses, identifies critical control points and preventive measures, establishes critical limits, and monitors corrective actions and verification procedures. Develops, documents, and communicates internal standards and measures of performance, including the review and revising of policies, corrective and preventive actions, and internal audits and reviews. Develops and implements appropriate quality training programs to ensure quality programs and processes are carried out by staff throughout the Company. Uses process mapping techniques, lean processes and continuous improvement methodologies to provide strategies which address internal methods for improving quality, productivity, and reducing/eliminating product waste and customer complaints. Interacts and consults with the Company’s management team and operations staff to track customer complaints and provide timely response to customer complaints or return of product; ensures that highest quality standards are applied to all material selection and purchases. Documents evidence and prepares reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data; presents timely information to Company leadership. Updates job knowledge by studying trends and developments in quality management. Maintains effective industry networks, professional memberships/certifications and attends appropriate conferences and professional programs. Supervises, directs and develops the quality staff and relevant activities at the Product Company. Provides training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality, safety and environmental compliance. Completes audits, determines system improvements and implements change. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Thorough understanding of ISO9001/ISO14001/OHSAS 18001/ISO13485 requirements. Expertise in LEAN, Six Sigma, FMEA and other quality measurement tools and methods. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Independent self-starter who can also work well within a team environment. Strong follow-up, organization and prioritization skills; detail-oriented. Superior interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and analytical skills. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in a Business, Engineering or Quality Assurance discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5-7 years of experience in a senior quality and supervisory role. Experience in a company-wide ISO 9000 lead auditing role. Results-oriented manager with proven and relevant quality assurance experience and management abilities. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times (occasionally). Travel Occasional travel may be required.
