The Director Product Line Management provides leadership to a team of Product Line Managers responsible for growing both revenue and profit through strategically leading a technical, rapidly changing, portfolio of products focused on global electrification. This key leadership position drives the vision, strategic direction, and financial success of Shoals innovative products. This leader is specifically responsible for leading growth in the Solar EBOS category, delivering new and innovative products and business plans, disrupting the segment and industry in this space, leading to an enhanced share position. This role will include matrix management of cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, engineering, finance, and manufacturing. The position reports to the VP of Engineering. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide strategic direction for the Solar EBOS product portfolio, aligning it with Shoals overall business objectives Drive new product vision, strategy, and execution in collaboration with cross-functional teams to grow market share Lead and mentor a high-performing team of Product Line Managers Develop and update 3-year Product Business Plan including top-line revenue, market share, product development, gross margin, operating income, and strategies for achievement Develop and update 5-year Product Roadmap, including new product development, research opportunities, and product rationalization; ties to 3-year Product Business Plan In concert with marketing leadership, develop the appropriate marketing messaging by channel that highlights the value propositions and superiority claims of assigned products Represent Shoals to the industry as the expert for all aspects of the product line Lead all product line VOC efforts, establishing the product line "Voice of the Customer" representative for internal stakeholders and external customers Research, analyze, and monitor financial, technological, and demographic factors to develop plans to maximize revenue, profit, and market share Monitor market and competitors' product technology changes, recognizing opportunities for new and expanding products Lead pricing and forecasting strategy for Product Line Managers Foster a collaborative culture with engineering, marketing, sales, operations and other Shoals business functions to ensure successful new product introductions Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and channel partners Evaluate and recommend strategic partnerships or acquisitions to enhance the product portfolio MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Minimum 10 years of experience in product management, with a track record of successfully launching and managing products in collaboration with marketing, sales, engineering, and operations business functions Minimum 5 years leading a product management team Demonstrated experience reporting comprehensive business performance, market segmentation analysis, and market trends to executive team Strong background in developing multi-year business plans and product roadmaps Experience leading pricing and forecasting of product portfolios Strong track record of translating Voice of Customer (VoC) into product requirements Collaborative leadership experience with marketing function in developing product portfolio collateral and programs including advertising, literature, and trade shows History of new product idea generation through market launch in disciplined phase-gate or equivalent process Experience in defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product portfolio success and iterate based on data-driven insights Strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated success in leading and building high-performance teams. Computer proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBi, SalesForce EDUCATION B.S. degree required MBA or equivalent work experience required TRAVEL Requires 25%-35% travel. This includes travel to Shoals manufacturing facilities, customers, trade shows and strategic suppliers throughout the country.
