PCX Corporation is looking for an experienced Design Engineer to become a part of our rapidly growing company servicing the commercial construction and renewable energy markets. This position will be based in Clayton, North Carolina. PCX Corporation is the leading integrator of engineered and pre-fabricated electrical/mechanical systems for the modular data center, commercial and industrial markets. Our product offerings include but are not limited to Modular Data Centers, Power Equipment Centers, Custom Integrated Switchboards, and pre-manufactured indoor/outdoor electrical distribution centers. We are a 30-year-old privately held company that is seeking innovative and talented professionals to join our team. As Sr. Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing integrated electrical and mechanical systems, in compliance with the NEC (National Electric Code) and U. L. requirements. This includes large custom built enclosures and skid based systems to house electrical switchgear for modular data centers, power equipment centers and integrated switchboards for the company’s stated markets. The successful candidate must have a proven track record in managing multiple concurrent projects, in an independent environment. Must be able to develop cost effective designs utilizing Autodesk Inventor 3D solid modeling, or equivalent. In addition, this position requires a good working knowledge of electrical equipment integration and mechanical design from both a structural standpoint and sheet metal fabrication. Frequent interface with customers, associates, and suppliers are required, so excellent communication skills are essential. What will help you thrive in this role?
