Overview: Responsible for managing the Drug & Alcohol program including collection, testing, program improvement, staff training, and ensuring the integrity and compliance within the company. The position will provide program leadership and make recommendations for future development. Responsibilities: Prepare for and administer monthly drug and alcohol random testing for all jobsites and conduct quarterly corporate random testing. Manage the Department of Transportation (DOT) and (NON-DOT) required testing and ensure accuracy and regulatory requirements. Maintain compliance reporting on DOT and NON-DOT regulations for testing. Establish collection facilities throughout the company that meet regulatory standards. Conduct site audit and collection facility audits to ensure full compliance of company program. Coordinate and distribute drug testing supplies to job sites and designated collection facilities. Train and certify other employees within the company as Certified Collectors (Specimen, BAT, Oral Fluids, Hair). Educate employees and supervisors on reasonable suspicion detection and other alcohol and drug awareness initiatives as appropriate. Facilitate the disciplinary procedures for employees that are in violation of the substance abuse policy. Maintain compliance as a contractor by supplying compliance entities with any requested information. Complete and file required quarterly reports. Act as primary contact person to review and report drug/alcohol results and report non-negative results for proper action; enter all results into tracking system. Conduct and facilitate site wide random testing as needed to ensure company and sub-contract compliance of Drug and Alcohol program. Maintain records and data as required. Supervise and direct the day to day functions of direct report(s). Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education and Work Experience Requirements: Associates or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred. 3-5 years of applicable work experience in a related field. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Wanzek’s Zero Injury principles. Requires advanced skills in Windows, MS Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Outlook, Internet and the ability to be trained in various other systems (in-house programs). Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain a high level of confidentiality. Able to effectively present a subject to a group or individuals. Able to maintain records and documentation. Familiarity with MSHA and OSHA regulations or a general safety background is helpful.
