Thursday, October 31, 2024 SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental, LLC is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to provide on-site Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS). This role supports the Engineering and Design Division (D4) of the Design and Construction Business Line (DCBL) at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, FL. Responsibilities Include: Prepare detailed designs, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for various mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, compressed air, energy systems, control systems, utility systems, and more. Support projects of major size and complexity, including MILCON scope, for use in government facilities such as offices, hospitals, manufacturing plants, and waterfront structures. Provide mechanical engineering services for diverse projects, including renewable energy systems, power distribution, air pollution control, and process piping systems. Ensure compliance with DoD and Navy guide specifications, industry codes and standards, and local, state, federal, and foreign country laws affecting mechanical engineering design. Collaborate with project stakeholders and other engineering disciplines to ensure system coordination and integration with project requirements. Provide independent and professional specialized mechanical engineering support for the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of facilities for Navy, Marine Corps, and other Supported Commands. Qualifications include: Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Mechanical Engineering is desired. Completion of a course of studies accredited by ABET for a Mechanical Engineering program, supplemented by hands-on facilities design experience, preferred. Professional knowledge and skill in mechanical engineering theories, concepts, principles, and computer applications relevant to construction projects and mechanical utility systems. Familiarity with ASME standards, ASHRAE standards, National Fire Protection Association Codes, SMACNA Standards, International Mechanical Code, International Plumbing Code, and International Building Code. Proficiency in Autodesk software, Microsoft Office products, and mechanical engineering design and analysis software. Strong written and oral communication skills for analysis, presentation, and coordination with project teams. Knowledge of budgeting, planning, project management techniques, and safety policies and procedures. Availability to work on-site during standard 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.
