As a Data Analyst in animal production, this job aims to ensure accurate and insightful analysis of production data. Your responsibilities will involve meticulously inputting and validating production data while utilizing your expertise to analyze and interpret the information effectively. Additionally, you will be responsible for working towards improving the accessibility and usability of production data for the organization. RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure Data Accuracy: Take responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of production data. Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, organize, and analyze production data from various sources, ensuring its completeness and reliability. KPI Dissemination: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production processes and metrics. Database Management: Coordinate the development and maintenance of databases, particularly Tableau, to store and manage production data efficiently. Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate existing production processes and workflows to identify opportunities for optimization and streamlining. Data Flow Improvement: Collaborate with IT and data management teams to enhance the overall data flow within the organization. Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and gaps in data collection and reporting processes, and propose solutions to ensure a smooth and seamless data flow across systems and departments. Financial Opportunity Identification: Analyze production data to identify potential financial opportunities across the company. CRITICAL COMPETENCIES: cultivates innovation, decision quality and collaborates. QUALIFICATIONS Strong understanding of data analysis and familiarity with Tableau and SQL. The ability to write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from multiple sources is a plus. Advanced Tableau skills is a plus. Intermediate level knowledge of Excel. Ability to write and understand advanced formulas, create pivot tables and charts, and utilize conditional formatting and data validation is required. Proficiency in Python is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential as the individual will be communicating with a number of different farm managers daily. Spanish proficiency is a plus. Willingness to travel monthly to the farms is a must.
