We are looking for someone with good communication skills, ideally with experience making decisions, being proactive, used to building software from scratch, and with good attention to detail. What you will do: You will be part of the team bringing their product to a new market, building and adapting the product for the unique needs of its partners, clients, and customers. Working with other teams to adapt existing capabilities, the team builds and owns the components necessary to cope with the unique needs of the market’s electric vehicles/chargers and energy providers. You’ll be involved in the full lifecycle from rapid prototyping to helping them scope/refine our work, to developing. You will join their support rota to triage platform issues and respond to incidents. You can expect to learn about and get hands-on with many technologies, e.g. Go, Kafka, Flutter, and GCP. What you will bring: You’re a hands-on engineer with expertise in at least one programming language, preferably Go. You have built or contributed to a variety of systems, ideally in different technologies. You have knowledge of the best engineering practices and continuous delivery. You are genuinely passionate about developing products that will positively impact over a million people and also our environment. You love working in teams and collaboratively building features that impact customers. You are motivated by owning products, from inception to continuous improvement. You have a bias to action and a ‘Can do’ approach to problem-solving in the face of uncertainty. You seek learning opportunities to deepen your expertise or broaden your knowledge. Nice to have: Experience and expertise in building iOS and/or Android apps with Flutter or a similar framework is a plus. Experience with event-driven architectures is a plus.
