Position Summary The Sr. Cybersecurity Technologist II works with project managers, technology architects, business analysts, and contractors on security solutions to address company security requirements. This position will provide subject matter expertise in evaluating, selecting, designing, and integrating a diverse set of IT security systems and tools in a highly complex corporate environment with a focus on Network and Cloud security. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Firewall Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security technologies and extensive hands-on experience with security products primarily on the Palo Alto Networks Firewall or other Enterprise class firewall platforms. As a senior member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Palo Alto Network Firewall deployments thru Panorama to safeguard our clients' systems and data against cyber threats. These deployments will range from standard Internet facing, segmented development network, isolated customer networks, and operational technology networks both on shore and offshore. Your extensive firewall knowledge will be the foundation of your responsibilities. Additional responsibilities will expand to SASE deployments, Cloud visibility projects, Network Access Controls, and Operational Technology network monitoring. Duties & Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain security measures to protect both cloud and on-premises infrastructure through enterprise firewalls. Conduct security assessments to ensure firewall policies are adhering to NIST 800-171, CMMC, IEC 62443, and GDPR standards. Provide insight and experience to help secure the enterprise through current security products. Monitor and analyze security logs and alerts to detect and respond to security incidents in a timely manner. Perform security assessments of third-party applications and services to ensure compliance with security requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into the development lifecycle of software and systems. Provide technical guidance and support to junior members of the team. Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies to continuously improve our security posture. Develop, document, and implement complex changes to security solutions within Oceaneering IT Security frameworks. Contribute to evaluation, selection, design, and configuration of IT Security infrastructure solutions in a global environment. Contribute to IT Security Policy and Standards documentation. Perform basic project management activities and generate solution design documentation. Ability to travel both domestically and internationally up to 10%. After hours work may be required occasionally. Qualifications REQUIRED Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent years of experience. Minimum 10 years' experience in information technology security. Minimum 5 years of experience working in cybersecurity roles, with a focus on enterprise network firewalls. Minimum 5 years of experience with security tools such as EDR, antivirus, SIEM, MFA, and vulnerability scanners. Minimum 5 years' experience with core networking technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP. Minimum 3 years of experience with Cloud Services and Architectures. Minimum 4 years of experience with advanced IT Security industry standards, such as NIST 800, OWASP, and CMMC. Strong understanding of network protocols, encryption, authentication, and access control. Must be a US citizen or legal permanent resident. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security, or equivalent. DESIRED Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or Perl. Advanced skills with MS Office tools to include Visio. Advanced Active Directory configurations. CISCO networking equipment: firewalls, routers, and switches. Experience with Trellix and/or WildFire.
