Essential Functions: Operations & Maintenance: Independently perform all O&M activities, including troubleshooting and repairs on inverters, panels, racking, and tracking equipment. Execute preventive maintenance schedules to ensure optimal plant performance and longevity. Safety & Compliance: Responsible for all safety protocols at the plant level, ensuring compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70, and other relevant regulations. Safely perform electrical work typical for solar plants of this size. P&L Management: Oversee and manage the financial performance of the plant, including budgeting, cost control, and reporting. Contractor Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of all contractors on-site, ensuring the quality and timeliness of their work. Issue purchase orders (POs) as necessary for contracted services and materials. Material Management: Oversee the management of plant materials, ensuring adequate supply of parts and consumables. Conduct regular inventory counts and manage the proper disposal of hazardous materials. External Stakeholder Management: Maintain positive relationships with local community members and landowners. Serve as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, addressing concerns and ensuring compliance with land use agreements. Work Risk Assessment & Job Hazard Analysis: Perform superior risk assessments and job hazard analyses (JHA) for all work activities. Identify potential hazards and implement appropriate controls to mitigate risks. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Develop and implement SOPs for repeatable work processes, including detailed risk assessments and method statements to ensure consistent and safe execution of tasks. Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS): Utilize CMMS such as Maximo to create, manage, and close work orders. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and parts usage. Balance of Plant (BoP) Management: Perform routine inspections, operations, and maintenance of BoP systems, including substations and other critical infrastructure. Regulatory Compliance: Execute compliance tasks as required by local, state, and federal regulations. This includes the preparation of reports and maintaining records for audit purposes. Physical Work: Engage in physical activities such as lifting heavy equipment, working in confined spaces, and performing tasks exposed to the elements.
