Vitol BioMethane, LLC (VBM) is seeking a Plant Operations Technician for our Landfill Gas to Energy (RNG) project located at the Texoma Area Solid Waste Authority Landfill (TASWA) in Whitesboro, TX. This is an opportunity to join a growing team and be a part of the energy transition by supporting production of a renewable energy source. This full-time position is based on-site, working a standard eight (8) hour shift, Monday through Friday and the ability to be “on-call”. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Position Summary : Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the RNG plant facility equipment including, but not limited to, blowers, sumps, compressors, valves, vessels, pumps, meters, analyzers, instrumentation, controls, and SCADA Perform mechanical and I&E maintenance and repair tasks for the RNG plant facility equipment including, but not limited to, blowers, sumps, compressors, valves, vessels, pumps, flares, meters, analyzers, instrumentation and controls Follow all company compliance, safety, and operational procedures, policies, permits, and other Local, State, and Federal laws including DOT(PHMSA) requirements Record and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly plant logs Assist in various plant project and construction related tasks as assigned Effectively communicate with and assist on-site staff, including Supervisors and co-workers Follow and enhance all company safety procedures and policies Most of the work will be conducted at the site. Some travel may be required (approximately 10%) to help on other sites when needed. Assist the Landfill Gas Operations Team as needed Qualifications Maintain a current and valid Driver's License Mechanically inclined 2-year Associate’s Degree preferred 2 or more years of plant operations experience preferred, with a preference for Renewable Natural Gas experience Ability to move and lift 50 pounds Ability to communicate effectively Ability to use Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel) Enthusiastic and able to work well with others in a team-oriented environment Additional Information Medical Vision 401k with company contributions Life insurance Short-term & Long-term disability All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
