This position will work onsite reporting to the Quality Manager, responsible for communication with suppliers across the FC division, ensuring they follow and meet organizational standards and requirements. It manages the supplier PPAP process, the claim handling, and associated root cause problem-solving for internal and customer claims. It ensures the qualification of the directly purchased parts at site levels following Danfoss standards and requirements, actively works with site and supplier resources to close supplier claims with efficient solutions and actively engages in continuous improvement of processes and site quality performance. This is an onsite position at our facility in Van Wert, OH. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Job Responsibilities Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Lead/support process assessments and other performance improvement activities within our site. Lead weekly reviews on quality performance metrics identifying and driving improvements with the use of data analytics and problem-solving tools. Initiate, coordinate, and manage the claim handling process to ensure timely and effective resolution of basic operational issues with suppliers, engaging the right people (internal & external). Request support of ASQE or SDE as required for any major issues. Manage the Supplier PPAP process for new and revised parts from internal, subcontracted, and external suppliers to ensure adherence to specifications and engineering standards. Review and approve supplier PPAP submissions, ensuring correctness and completeness of all necessary documentation, testing, and validations (including packaging where appropriate). Ensure the supplier has capability, capacity, and understanding and has closed all risk mitigation activities to be ready for a successful launch. Support deployment of risk mitigation activities across our value stream, to proactively identify and address potential quality risks, including the Incoming inspection plan. Monitor customer/supplier performance in a timely manner to proactively address potential issues. Support/lead deployment of IATF QMS requirements within our site participating in our Internal Audit process. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree at an accredited institution. Minimum three (3) years of combined experience in a Quality role in industrial manufacturing operations. Preferred Qualifications Certified lead internal auditor (ISO9001 / IATF16949). 8D structured team problem-solving methods. Expert in AIAG PPAP Production Part Approval Process. Experience with AIAG Design and Process FMEA. Experience in the use of SAP (ERP system). Knowledge on engineering drawings & tolerancing, standards & specifications. Fabrication, machining, and assembly knowledge and experience is preferred. Understanding of AIAG CQI assessments for special processes. Job Criteria Must be an effective team leader with good communication skills. Must have analytical thinking, problem-solving experience, a sense of urgency, and managerial courage. Use of computer and MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); SharePoint, Teams. Understanding and applying ISO/IATF16949, CQI Assessments, AIAG PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, FMEA, and other quality system standards and tools are essential.
