Job Title: Building Automation Systems Specialist (240000RN) Description: The Building Automation Systems Specialist will install, operate, and maintain the computerized direct digital electronic control systems of the building automation system for the facility and all the pneumatic operated automatic temperature control systems on all mechanical equipment in accordance with plans and specifications, operating manuals, and manufacturer's specifications. Responds to all hospital emergencies including but not limited to leaks, odors, and fire alarms. Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to operate hospital vehicles. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands or fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and or arms, and to talk and hear. The employee is required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee must lift and or move up to 50lbs. Qualifications: Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED (Required) Minimum Work Experience: 5 to 7 years of related and progressive experience, with an emphasis on automatic temperature controls, both Pneumatic and DDC. No supervisory experience required. (Required) Required Skills/Knowledge: Frequent bending/stooping, sitting, standing/walking, and reaching for 8-12 hrs. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull >40 Required Licenses and Certifications: Driver's License (Required) Functional Accountabilities: Building Systems Control: Maintain, set up, calibrate, and program all Direct Digital Control Systems, sensors, standalone field panels, devices, and appurtenances of the Building Automation System; and all pneumatically operated controllers, dampers, valves, and corresponding controls of heating, ventilating, and refrigeration/air conditioning automatic temperature control systems. Operations and Maintenance: Lubricate all bearing surfaces of dampers, valves, and air-operated motors and drives. Perform PMs on air and water balance heating, ventilating, and air conditioning units to ensure optimum operations and proper environmental conditions. Maintain and operate air compressors (for environmental control) and all associated oil filters, regulators, and drive belts. Design and install modifications of the pneumatic controls on existing mechanical equipment for environmental control and energy conservation. Operate, maintain, and install field panels, sensors, and devices of the direct digital electronic building automation and pneumatic controls. Customer Service: Respond to, troubleshoot, evaluate, and resolve temperature control related problems.
