What you will do: The mid-level Geologist will support a wide range of multidisciplinary site characterization/remedial investigation and remediation projects for a variety of commercial, county, state, and federal clients throughout the upper Midwest region. Specific responsibilities include: Assist project teams with the development of project documents (sampling and analysis plans, quality assurance plans, etc.). Schedule, solicit, and help procure subcontractors for on-site activities. Lead or participate in on-site activities that include soil, sediment, surface water, groundwater sampling, and subcontractor oversight. Observe drilling and well installation, including borehole logging. Manage, evaluate, and summarize data. Prepare technical reports or sections thereof. Track project budgets. We also offer a fantastic benefits package What you will need: B.S. degree (M.S. degree preferred) in geology. Geologist-in-training required, Professional Geologist (any state) preferred with eligibility for reciprocity in upper Midwest states. Minimum of 4 years of industry experience including field team leadership. Experience working on multidisciplinary environmental remedial investigations under CERCLA. Familiarity of other regulatory framework and associated requirements preferred (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA, NPDES, and Midwest states' environmental regulations). Experience conducting and managing field teams for environmental sampling, including development of sampling and analysis plans, and coordination with subcontractors and suppliers. Proficiency with GIS and borehole logging. Knowledge of using tablet-based field forms preferred. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment across technical disciplines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft applications. Current OSHA HAZWOPER and First Aid/CPR certifications preferred. Willingness to travel locally and out of state lasting several weeks. Salary range $80,000 - $100,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.
