As an Electrical Engineer, you'll be a key member of the New Product Introduction team and play a critical role in the success in implementing and maintaining the product and service offerings for our Mobile Robotics Business. Duties & Responsibilities ESSENTIAL Perform electrical engineering duties necessary for OMR New Product Introduction. These may include: Design modifications to existing equipment. Design of test equipment. Participating in operational risk assessments. Preparing scopes of supply. Providing cost and labor estimates for proposals. Performing project-specific analyses and calculations. Preparing project-specific procedures. Work closely with Mechanical and Manufacturing teams to build and test first article units. Work with multi-disciplined teams to support the integration, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems in Mobile Robot products and peripherals. Troubleshoot production and field issues by performing root cause analysis and testing, and by proposing pragmatic solutions that can be implemented with minimal effort. Exercise excellent technical judgement, creativity, and initiative with attention to detail consistently throughout work product, with awareness of the "system" perspective. Prepare and participate in design reviews. Mentor other engineers and provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle. Travel up to 20% to Oceaneering manufacturing facilities, other OMR international offices and customer's sites. Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications REQUIRED Bachelor of Science or advanced degree from an accredited university in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or related field/curriculum having an Electrical concentration, such as Controls Engineering or Robotics Engineering). Minimum 7 years practical technical experience supporting the production implementation and maintenance of engineering products such as executing first articles, managing component obsolescence and redlines, creation of technical bulletins, and development of "build-to-print" technical packages. Proficiency in proper use and application of various standard electronic test equipment, e.g., DMM/multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers etc. Proficiency with advanced Computer Aided Design (CAD) packages such as, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, EPLAN and Altium etc. Minimum 5 years' experience in revision control procedures. Minimum 5 years' experience with regulatory requirements (CE, ANSI, UL, EMC). Minimum 5 years' experience with cable harness routing and design. Minimum 5 years' experience with PCB design. Strong analytical and communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. DESIRED Robotics systems experience. Functional safety experience. Controls engineering experience such as implementation of control loops, tuning and troubleshooting. Additional Information This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
