Job Summary The firm is seeking a Project Engineer/Manager to play a key role in performing and coordinating the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects. This individual will also be responsible for coaching, training, and overseeing staff. Job Responsibilities Lead the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects, including client communication. Design and oversee site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion, and sediment control from concept through completion. Develop and maintain relationships with clients and seek new business opportunities. Manage multiple projects, ensuring they are completed within budget, on schedule, and to the client’s satisfaction. Write and review reports, including feasibility studies, stormwater management reports, technical specifications, and utility reports. Provide expertise in hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design, including SWPPP preparation and water quality compliance. Collaborate with office leadership to develop growth plans and optimize staff utilization. Perform additional duties as requested. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license. 6 years of relevant site/civil land development experience. Knowledge of local, city, county, and state land use processes and regulations. Strong client development and management skills. Experience in site/civil design, including site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion, and sediment control from concept through completion. Proven ability to manage projects from concept to construction documents. Self-starter with leadership and mentoring abilities. Ability to work effectively on multi-disciplinary projects. Expertise in stormwater management design, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, and SWPPP preparation. Proficient in technical and proposal writing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D (preferred). Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical and judgment skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits, with a valid driver’s license in good standing.
