What we need: The PR & Communications Manager is a leading performer that supports the business through creating communications for Mohawk Group, media, and customers to maintain a favorable image, enhance brand visibility, reputation and engagement across multiple channels. This role is responsible for execution of strategic communications plans. What you’ll do: Frequently collaborate with various departments to develop and implement consumer promotional campaigns. Recommend and implement initiatives that improve the public’s perception of Mohawk Group and build and maintain event standards and guidelines to drive consistent brand experience, such as product press launches and special events. Provide counsel to senior executives on messaging and media relations. Assist with the organization of press briefings, media training, photography, and press attendance at company seminars. May serve as the company’s spokesperson by cultivating and maintaining positive relationships with key media partners and advertising vendors. Participate in and may manage large cross-functional projects or processes that include the media, customers, and various departments. Coach, review, and delegate work to lower-level professionals, and influence others regarding policies, practices, and procedures. Leverage creativity and comprehensive process, technical, or operational understanding to resolve a wide range of issues and contribute to departmental strategy and goal development. Creatively and strategically support key business objectives. Perform high-level critical thinking, detailed information gathering, and analysis and application of business knowledge. Proactively investigate and/or lead investigations of alternative approaches, technologies, or partnerships. Collaborate with and may lead functional or cross-functional teams to generate solutions to complex problems. Perform other duties as needed. What you have: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. 6-8 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience. What you’re good at: Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field. Recognized cross-functionally as an expert within one or two subject matter areas. Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills. Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively. High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data. Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once. High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures. What else? Temporary indirect reporting relationships may exist while working as Project lead. May be required to act in senior role, providing task-related advice and direction to junior team members.
