Mechanical Pipe/General Construction Foreman Water Treatment DivisionMartinsburg, WV region The Mechanical Pipe/General Construction Foreman travels to multiple water and sewer treatment facilities in the region. Most work is in West Virginia, Virginia, Pennsylvania, & Maryland
Applicants must have experience and knowledge of Water/Wastewater Treatment and Conveyance Systems, piping, mechanical systems, and general commercial and industrial construction.
Qualifications Minimum of 3 years experience working with mechanical piping and storage tank systems is required
Must be willing to travel. Typically, Monday Thursday and occasional Fridays & Weekends (rare)
Specific experience with piping and mechanical systems, water/wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, general construction and related accessories, pipe work including threaded, flanged, welded, carbon and stainless steel
Proficiency in reading, math, and understanding blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications
Tank Piping Systems, Spill, Overfill and Containment Systems
Strong mechanical analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and organizational skills
Exceptional safety and quality awareness
30-hour OSHA supervisor certification and West Virginia Storage Tank certifications a plus
High school diploma, additional related education is highly preferred
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
Valid drivers license and ability to successfully pass a pre-employment screening
Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus but not required
General Responsibilities Direct, supervise, and mentor personnel to complete projects in accordance with plans, specifications, and company policies
Complete and manage the installation, layout, and assembly of various types of mechanical piping systems on a construction site and in treatment plants
Ensuring adherence to project plans, safety regulations, and quality standards
Coordinate with other departments / vendors and supervise staff to complete work on time and within budget
Manage pipe inventory, ensuring sufficient materials are available for the project
Complete daily reporting, safety inspections, and site safety meetings
Schedule and Benefit Overview Hourly position. Wage based on experience and education level.
Typically schedule Monday - Thursday & occasional Fridays and weekends
Staying out of town when the project requires. Company pays lodging if out of town
Overtime and 5+ days required at times. Must work overtime hours when required
Company service vehicle provided for work travel
