DescriptionCivil Design Engineer will support the planning, design, and execution of civil infrastructure for large-scale solar projects. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineering team, project managers, structural engineers, and site supervisors, to ensure that all civil design elements align with project requirements, timelines, and industry standards. Your work will contribute to the creation of sustainable, efficient, and safe solar energy systems.
Candidates must be based in Pakistan to be considered for this role. What you'll do:- Lead the design and development of civil infrastructure for solar projects, including foundations, access roads, drainage systems, and other site-related elements.
- Conduct site assessments and collaborate with geotechnical engineers to determine the optimal design solutions based on soil conditions, topography, and environmental factors.
- Prepare and review detailed civil design drawings, schematics, and specifications in compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate civil designs into the overall solar system layout and ensure seamless project execution.
- Support the preparation of cost estimates and project schedules for civil works, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery.
- Ensure all civil design elements are optimized for sustainability, structural integrity, and ease of installation while minimizing environmental impact.
- Provide technical support during the construction phase and resolve any design-related issues that may arise on-site.
- Prepare documentation and reports for permitting, regulatory approvals, and quality control purposes.
- Stay current with advancements in civil engineering practices, solar technologies, and relevant codes and regulations.
What you'll need:- Bachelor's and/ or master's degree in civil engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in civil design, preferably with a focus on renewable energy, construction, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.), and construction methods.
- Proficiency with reading blueprints, plans, specs, contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
- Familiarity with the design and implementation of civil works for solar energy systems, including foundations, access roads, and drainage systems.
- Understanding of relevant environmental and permitting regulations and the ability to integrate sustainable design practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Proficiency with Procore, or similar construction management software.
- Willingness and ability to clearly define objectives, exercise sound technical judgment, take on increasing levels of responsibility and to thrive in a small, flexible and dynamic work environment.
