M/E Engineering is currently interviewing for an Energy Manager to be based at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. Responsibilities

Responsible for developing, implementing, and analyzing data for a full campus temperature reduction test through building automation systems.
Documents hardware systems and performance in facilities on campus.
Collects nameplate information and measures performance.
Identifies measures, additional sensors, and information required to improve system efficiency and efficacy.
Expands on the exiting Hot Water Readiness List by providing additional details and budget estimates to enable steam to hot water conversion.
Details a process for right-sizing replacement equipment in the steam to hot water conversions.
Identifies hot water conversion/improvement projects, resulting performance, and cost estimates.
Identifies chilled water delta-T projects, the resulting performance, and cost estimates.
Presents identified projects to the Director of Utilities Distribution & Energy Management (UD&EM) for approval and execution.
Identifies, reviews, and analyzes electrification options for processing steam loads and domestic hot water loads on campus.
Supports the Energy Conservation team with calculations and detailed investigations for projects.
Performs all other related functions as assigned.

Education and Experience

Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering, energy management, or related field. An advanced degree in engineering or related field preferred.
Minimum of five years' experience in energy management, consulting, or mechanical design. Experience in a higher education or research institution preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Building automation system and data analysis experience.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Proven record of successful project management and execution.

Compensation Range

The compensation range for this position is $85,000 to $115,000 per year.
