Job DescriptionBusiness Development Manager, Energy Markets is a unique opportunity for a talented, driven individual to participate as a key member of the Technology team focused on new markets and connected product strategies. The role will help us grow our business in the residential energy sector, including building upon and executing our grid solutions go-to-market strategy with demand response aggregator, utility and other energy-related partnerships (i.e. Rheem's "energy customers"). This role will need to bring strong entrepreneurial, creative, and intrapersonal skills in order to work effectively and assist Rheem in achieving its strategic goals.

Roswell, GA (Remote)Responsibilities- Communicate value of Rheem energy solutions strategy to internal and external stakeholders
- Manage growth pipeline of current energy customers
- Build, qualify, and manage a pipeline of new opportunities that will position us for significant growth over the next few years
- Achieve growth targets, originate deals, acquire and evaluate new partners through proactive demand generation, and consultative selling, and provide thought leadership to our prospects throughout the partner energy journey.
- Expanding the customer base and initiating outreach with potential customers.
- Monitor project teams to ensure contracts are executed as agreed
- Take major role in aligning Finance on new revenue streams for greenfield business opportunities
- Work with Customer Success Manager, Digital Products team in delivering an end-to-end solution for DRA and utilities
- Bring positive and scaled impact to our client's business through the portfolio of services and solutions.
- Learn and demonstrate an understanding of Rheem's smart, connected products strategy and continue to develop and execute Rheem's energy solutions strategy as part of that effort
- Develop trusting relationships with key internal business partners and traditional channel partners
- Communicate the value of Rheem's traditional product portfolio and associated technology to Rheem's energy customers
- In partnership with the customer success, marketing, and technology teams, create and pursue a list of expansion opportunities with current energy customers and a targeted pipeline of potential energy customers
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Marketing, or a related field is required.
- 7+ years of prior business development experience.
- 3+ years experience in the flexible load management, utility or energy sectors with deep market knowledge is a must
- Understanding of flexible load Management industry, grid infrastructure, laws and issues.
- Established contacts within the industry, including Utilities and Aggregators
- Good understanding of Regulatory landscape and agencies which influence
- Ability to communicate system level technical ability of Rheem Solutions
- Strong organizational and communication skills including ability to prepare for and conduct strategic workshops with current or potential energy customers and ability to prepare for and communicate progress to management team
- Demonstrated initiative and commitment to high-quality work
- Willingness to travel and participate on-site with customers, in internal meetings, and energy industry conferences.
The Pay scale of this role based in Colorado, Washington State
, Hawaii, Maryland, Jersey City (New Jersey), Illinois, District of Columbia, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio (Cincinnati & Toledo), Rhode Island,is $100,000 - $159,900. The pay scale for this position in California, Connecticut, or New York is $108,000 - $172,692. Please note all pay ranges are broadly stated and any final offer is dependent on factors such as location, direct experience, market guidance and internal equity, among other qualifying criteria.
