POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACTMoss's Logistics Coordinator supports the management of solar equipment and inventory movement, storage, and distribution. This role ensures supply chain operations are efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with DOT regulations. The Logistics Coordinator works closely with the Logistics Manager to ensure seamless operations and safe, timely delivery of equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Collaborate with the Logistics Manager to execute strategies for optimizing the supply chain, including inventory management, procurement, and distribution.
- Create and manage delivery notes, and bills of lading for outgoing solar equipment shipments.
- Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and internal teams to ensure Moss's products and equipment's accurate and timely movement.
- Track and oversee shipments, escalating issues or delays to the Logistics Manager and proposing resolutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of shipments and related logistics activities, providing reports to the Logistics Manager as needed.
- Coordinate transportation logistics of Moss-owned equipment, including working with service providers, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and share insights with the Logistics Manager to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Act as a liaison between the Logistics Manager and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
- Contribute to the preparation of logistics performance reports and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Stay informed about industry trends and share relevant updates with the Logistics Manager to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager or other leadership.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in equipment management, fleet management, or similar roles within the construction industry, preferably in solar or renewable energy.
- Strong knowledge of heavy machinery, maintenance practices, and safety regulations. Familiarity with solar construction is a plus.
- Willingness to travel regionally to various sites.
