Description

We have an immediate opening for a talented Supplier Transparency Manager to join our team here at ECOS. This role ensures that ECOS suppliers are open and honest about their practices, particularly in areas such as labor standards, environmental impact, and ethical sourcing. This individual will work closely with purchasing and operations/supply chain teams to verify that suppliers are meeting regulatory standards and aligning with the company's values as well as help implement transparency initiatives, such as supply chain audits, supplier scorecards, or public reporting frameworks like the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) or sustainability disclosures.
Key Job Functions:
• Define specific transparency goals that align with ECOS values and priorities.
• Implement automated systems for real-time sustainability data tracking, such as PCR content
• Develop & maintain a sustainability scorecard for evaluating suppliers
• Establish open and transparent communication channels with your suppliers to exchange information and expectations
• Conduct on-site audits to verify supplier compliance with sustainability standards
• Ensure that suppliers are performing and complying with contracts including environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards and that the appropriate processes and controls are in place to reduce risk
• Map suppliers to enhance supply chain transparency
• Collaborate with suppliers to educate and increase transparency in operations.
• Promote increased use of post-consumer recycled materials in packaging
• Clearly communicate ECOS environmental sustainability requirements to suppliers and discuss how they can reduce their carbon footprint in the production process.
• Provide resources and guidance to assist suppliers in implementing sustainable practices & Product Carbon Footprints (PCFs)
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in supplier sustainability practices
• Build expertise in procurement and procurement categories across the organization
• Develop reports on supplier performance regarding ethical sourcing.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate procurement risks related to non-compliance in the supply chain
• Trace the origins of raw materials, providing assurance to consumers and stakeholders about product quality and authenticity
• Manage the annual completion of the THESIS report
• Handing additional special projects and duties as assigned.
Requirements
In order to be successful, you will need:
• A bachelor's degree (or currently in the process of completing degree listed) in a Science or Sustainability related field; and/or 3 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver assignments on time
• High degree of integrity including ability to successfully deal with sensitive or confidential information
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Strong organizational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
Salary Description
$75,000 - $85,000
