The Net Zero Delivery Lead will spearhead the delivery of the client's Net Zero Transition Plan, ensuring alignment with the 2040 target and in line with ISO Net Zero Guidelines. This role requires strategic oversight, policy development, and cross-departmental engagement to drive energy efficiency, decarbonisation, and sustainable practices across all facets of the organisation's operations. Collaborating closely with various teams, the Net Zero Delivery Lead will prioritise impactful projects, optimise resource allocation, and develop actionable plans to reduce emissions across all categories.
Specific Accountabilities
Net Zero Strategy Development & Implementation - Oversee the design and execution of the Net Zero Transition Plan, ensuring measurable progress toward the client's 2040 target.
Policy and Standards Development - Establish strategies, policies, and standards for energy efficiency, capital investments, and energy performance contracts.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration - Partner with teams such as Network Development and Fit-Out to identify and prioritise high-impact projects.
Energy Optimisation - Design and implement energy optimisation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce consumption.
Decarbonisation Tactics - Lead the development of decarbonisation strategies tailored to specific emission categories.
Data-Driven Decision-Making - Work in partnership with the data team to monitor and evaluate progress, ensuring goals are consistently met.
Stakeholder Engagement - Drive engagement initiatives to promote organisational buy-in and foster a culture of sustainability.
Key Skills
- Expertise in sustainability and carbon reduction, with a strong understanding of Net Zero & SBTi frameworks and emissions categories.
- Proven experience in delivering large-scale transition plans or sustainability projects.
- Renewable energy and RE100 global expertise.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to develop actionable policies and standards.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills, with experience in cross-functional project delivery.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and assess project impacts.
- Knowledge of energy performance contracts and energy optimisation techniques.
