SUMMARYThe
Aquatic Programs Lead in Suncrest plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of swim lessons and lifeguard staff. This includes not only overseeing the logistics but also providing mentorship to the swim instructors and lifeguards to help them excel.
Your mission is to create an atmosphere where every guest has a positive and enjoyable experience. Whether it's the first-time swimmers or those looking for fun in the sun, you'll be there to guide them through the aquatic journey.
Working closely with the Programs Director and Regional Manager, you'll receive specialized training tailored to the unique features of Suncrest. This collaboration ensures that you're well-equipped to lead and contribute to the success of the center.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES- Review and confirm the daily swim lesson roster
- Effectively communicate program and curriculum goals to the families
- Service as point of contact for swim instructors during lessons and lifeguards during their shifts
- Apply feedback from the Program Manager to improve lesson quality
- Collaborate with instructors mid-lesson and post-lesson with feedback to enhance their coaching
- Approve swim lesson graduation for students
- Professionally document detailed reports, comments, and other interactions with staff and customers
- Respond to emergencies as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTSMinimum- Previous swim instructor experience
- Must possess, or be able to obtain, a StarGuard Elite Lifeguard certification
- Candidate must be outgoing, responsible, and reliable
- Teach swim lessons at least once a week
- Will step in to lifeguard when lifeguards are on breaks
- Consistently available on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30a-1:30p
Preferred- 6+ months of swim instructor experience
- Posses knowledge of Jackrabbit Technologies and/or OneTeam360
- Have a valid StarGuard Elite Lifeguard certification
Physical Requirements - Ability to teach swim lessons in the water for up to 8 hours
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours
- Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job and to move or lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be physically able to rescue someone drowning or injured in the water
- May be exposed to prolonged periods of being outdoors
