DescriptionNOW HIRING Aquatic Fitness Program SupportTHPRD Fitness is seeking an team member to assist with district-wide fitness program operations, focusing on aquatics. This role supports the Fitness Program Specialist and Program Aide in the administration of aquatic fitness classes, recruitment, audio/exercise equipment evaluation, and much more.
Job Duties: - Maintain, update, and distribute fitness schedules provided by the Fitness Liaison (FL) or Program Aide II (PA) for posting and public access.
- Update facility fitness bulletin boards with content provided by the FL or PA.
- Conduct regular inspections of Aqua aerobics equipment and support audio-visual (AV) equipment, including microphones.
- Assist with recruitment, including interviews and auditions.
- Assist with staff meetings.
- Assist with instructor evaluations and quality control of classes.
- Assist with staff development and trainings.
- Serve as an emergency substitute or manage class cancellations when on shift.
- Assist with fitness events.
- Perform various administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.

- Monday-Thursday, 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM, and Saturday, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
OR- Tuesday-Thursday, 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM, and Friday-Saturday, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Availability:
- Evenings/Weekends
- Subject to change dependent on programing needs.
Staff will typically be scheduled 20 hours per week with opportunity to increase up to 29 hours through supplemental instructional hours. Part-time employees are scheduled variable hours and may work less than 1,560 hours per year or 125 hours per month.
Minimum Qualifications:- Current Aquatic Fitness certification required (AEA preferred)
- Current CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, or willing to obtain/renew upon hire
- 2+ years' experience training/instructing group aquatic fitness classes
- Experience working with diverse populations
Preferred Qualifications:- Land fitness certifications (Personal Training, Group Fitness)
- Bilingual: Spanish (pay incentive available)
- Experience working with individuals whose first language is not English, or
- Experience working with youth/teens
- Experience working directly with special populations such as individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), individuals with medically controlled diseases, and individuals needing adaptive equipment
